Invocation

"Invocation" is an act of calling forth — and this work visualizes that summoning in raw, elemental terms. Layers of translucent liquid watercolor intermingle with opaque acrylic strokes, forming a turbulent visual field that evokes spirits rising through smoke, fragmented memories, or forgotten symbols scrawled into shifting matter.
Dark specks and calligraphic marks punctuate the surface like coded language, while the background bleeds and swirls with unstable energy. There's a presence here — not overt, but looming — as if something is emerging from the depths, half-formed or only partially allowed into this plane. The composition feels like a psychic residue, or the aftermath of a ritual where the veil between worlds thinned, if only briefly.
