Impacted Earth

Impacted Earth reveals a form that feels both bodily and elemental. Vertical currents descend like deeply rooted teeth — embedded, immovable, and under pressure. Acidic yellows pulse against moss and mineral greens, suggesting nerve and soil at once.
The surface reads as organic — something growing downward instead of upward. What appears abstract at first begins to resemble a wisdom tooth beneath the surface, swollen with tension, carrying the ache of something not yet released.
Created through a fluid acrylic process that allows gravity to pull pigment into elongated forms, the piece balances control and surrender. Drips become roots. Roots become nerves. The earth becomes a body holding pressure beneath its surface.
